This is a Closed POD Planning workbook with an emphasis on partnering with public health. The intent is to supplement and re-supply state and local health and medical resources in the event of an emergency. The information in this document will provide key planning considerations to develop actionable items to help you with this process.

This brochure describes how in a public health emergency, the general public is typically encouraged to go to common areas (such as a Closed POD) to receive medications. The goal is to provide medicines to people within 48 hours possibly relieving some of the burden placed on common dispensing sites.
