This document is a tool that will be used to establish priorities, align resources, improve and strengthen operations, and ensure that all staff understand the Department’s goals and recognize how then can contribute to achieving them. This plan is intended to communicate the Department’s commitment to improving health outcomes across every part and sub-part of the population.

Provides guidance about how the New Mexico Department of Health will manage, deploy, and review quality throughout the organization. It describes the processes and activities that will be put into place to ensure quality deliverables are produced consistently and are continuously improved.
The goal of this report is to improve health care access and utilization, enhance the quality of services with New Mexico’s culturally diverse and underserved communities, and promote cultural and linguistic competence as essential approaches in the elimination of health disparities in New Mexico.
