Weekly Vital Records Service Hours for Grant County
The New Mexico Department of Health’s Silver City Public Health Office, located at 2610 N. Silver in Silver City, NM provides Vital Record services on Mondays from 8 to 11 am and afternoons from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
Clients are encouraged to determine availability of services by calling ahead to the Grant County Public Health Office at 575-538-5318 before making a visit, especially if they are traveling from surrounding areas. Due to high numbers of customers, clerk availability is limited.
In order to avoid long lines, clients are also encouraged to order certificates online via the VitalChek Express Certificate Service website or by calling toll free 1-877-284-0963.
Remember: to get your birth certificate, you’ll need to provide several required documents to prove your identity and age. These requirements are listed here.
Birth certificates are only issued to the applicant, immediate family members, or those who represent tangible proof of legal interest. Additionally, Vital Records only issues certificates for individuals born within the state of New Mexico.
