Española WIC Program Opening for Saturday Hours
The Española Women, Infants, Children program (WIC) office at the Rio Arriba County Public Health Office, 2010 Industrial Park Road, will be offering services on the following two Saturdays in the fall and winter months:
- Saturday, November 15 @ 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Saturday, December 13 @ 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
The Saturday hours are being made available to allow working parents that can’t attend WIC appointments during weekday business hours to have the opportunity to be certified onto the WIC program without interrupting their work schedule.
WIC services approximately 1,200 families in Rio Arriba County per month.
WIC is the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children. It is a federal program administered by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition Service, and the New Mexico Department of Health, Public Health Division.
