Electronic Laboratory Reporting
This page discusses several interoperability topics relative to electronic laboratory reporting.
Meaningful Use Compliance
Hospitals and Laboratories must be actively engaged in ELR onboarding to receive a letter of attestation.
New Mexico Administrative Code
New Mexico is a ‘dual use’ state, which requires all healthcare professionals and laboratories to report notifiable conditions to NMDOH. Utilize ELR HL7 2.5.1 or Simple Report to submit all reportable conditions, regardless of whether the testing was conducted in-house or elsewhere. If your facility is not onboarded for ELR you must report via fax. The following links lay out the reporting requirements in New Mexico:

Fax Numbers for Reporting
Until a program has been onboarded with ELR and has received confirmation that the feed has been approved, hospitals and laboratories must continue to fax relevant laboratory reports to NMDOH.
