High Cholesterol in New Mexico
High Cholesterol in New MexicoHigh cholesterol is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease (i.e., heart attack, heart failure, or stroke). Regular physical activity and eating a healthy diet can help prevent high cholesterol and improve cholesterol levels that are not optimal. Smoking can decrease levels of "good" HDL cholesterol, which also increases risk for cardiovascular disease.
