Healthy Aging Collaborative Teams with State Agencies

Free Health Screenings Available for Seniors, Their Families and Caregivers

Today, the New Mexico Departments of Health and the New Mexico Department of Aging and Long-Term Services announced that the Fifth Annual Senior Celebration Day – Healthy Living Day will be held at the New Mexico State Fair on Monday, September 12th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Seniors, their families and caregivers will have access to free health screenings and educational displays including: free flu shots, general dental screenings, oral health education, medication screenings and assessments and more.

“Connecting New Mexicans to vital community resources and services that can help them stay healthy and independent is critically important. Once again, we are happy to partner with the New Mexico Healthy Aging Collaborative and Aging and Long-Term Services Department for this event,” said Department of Health Secretary Lynn Gallagher.

Senior Celebration Day – Healthy Living Day is organized by the New Mexico Healthy Aging Collaborative in partnership with the New Mexico Department of Health, the New Mexico Aging and Long Term Services and EXPO New Mexico. Admission for the day will be $2.00.
