Public Health Day at the Legislature
Public, Lawmakers to Attend
The New Mexico Department of Health will join state partners to host Public Heath Day at the State Capitol Building on Monday, January 26 @ 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The event will include Department of Health employees along with more than 20 other agencies to raise awareness among policymakers and the public of the importance of public health to the overall well-being of New Mexico residents.
Information tables will be set up in the East and West Halls of History starting at 8:00 AM with a public program from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM in the rotunda featuring speakers and entertainment.
“Every day the New Mexico Department of Health works to assure residents have what they need to reach their full potential for good health,” said Cabinet Secretary Retta Ward, MPH. “The initiatives presented this Public Health Day represent the best of the newest approaches that can be used to improve the health of all New Mexicans now and into the future.”
