The goal of the Community Health Worker (CHW) Survey is to gain a more accurate picture of the CHW profession and capacity in New Mexico, particularly for addressing chronic disease and social determinants of health. Through secondary data analysis, key informant interviews, and surveys, this assessment identified how CHW/Tribal CHR/Promotor(a) are currently being trained, certified, employed, reimbursed, and utilized in New Mexico. |
