Vaccines and Autism: What You Should Know

The Vaccine Education Center of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia provides this question/answer sheet about concerns that vaccines can cause autism. These concerns center on three areas: the combination measles-mumps-rubella vaccine; thimerosal, a mercury-containing preservative previously contained in several vaccines; and the notion that babies receive too many vaccines too soon.
