Health Information Systems Committee
The charge to the Health Information Systems Stakeholder Committee is to develop a statewide framework of a health information data system that addresses issues of health data (who needs what data for what purpose, sources of these data, etc.), analytics (key metrics or measures from/for clinical care, population health, behavioral health care; analytic software, etc.), functionality, interoperability and technology (how to provide/handle a seamless movement of data among PCMHs, payers and patients; issues of patient access and care provided in remote areas; development of user tools, etc.). The framework must be consistent with the separate and future development of an All-Payer Claims Database (APCD). The Committee will develop a three-year Road Map with six-month increments for implementation of strategies.
Committee charges will be addressed consistent with the New Mexico State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP) and CMS SIM requirements, and aligned with the federal interoperability model of HHS Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology.
