Santa Fe WIC Offices Move to New Location

Photo of the location.

A New Mexico Department of Health’s Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) office currently located in the Santa Fe County Health Office will be moving to a new location on August 4, 2014.

The clinic is moving to 2538 Camino Entrada, Suite 204.

“After years of operating two smaller satellite offices on the south side, we recognize residents will be best served moving our main operation there instead,” said Department of Health Cabinet Secretary, Retta Ward, MPH. “The move will save hundreds of clients the challenge of having to find transportation to get to our current location near downtown.”

WIC services approximately 3,000 families in Santa Fe County per month.

The new WIC space is larger, approximately 2365 square feet as compared to the current 1500 square foot facility, and will provide adequate space for a waiting area, classroom and nutrition offices.

WIC is the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). It is a federal program administered by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition Service, and the New Mexico Department of Health, Public Health Division.
