Welcome to the New Mexico Department of Health

Division of Policy and Performance website!

In July 2005, the Division of Policy and Performance, (DPP) was created. DPP consists of five offices, the Office of the Director, the Office of American Indian Health, the Office of Border Health, the Office of Health Equity, and the Office of Performance. DPP is charged with creating innovative approaches to improve the overall health of New Mexicans and to address multicultural disparities.

The Division of Policy and Performance facilitates change both within and outside the Department of Health by:

• developing informed heath policy,
• assisting with strategic and operational planning,
• performance improvement,
• and catalyzing processes and programming
that result in improved health outcomes for all New Mexicans.
