Meaningful Days in New Mexico…
So what exactly is a meaningful day? While New Mexico has a formal definition to guide services, the concept of a Meaningful Day is generally about individuals with developmental disabilities having the same opportunities and choices as everyone else: opportunities to build community and relationships, to work and to make fundamental and basic choices about how they spend their time. These choices and opportunities are unique to each person and based on the person’s individual interests.

Through this webpage, we hope to provide information that helps illustrate what both New Mexico’s Meaningful Day definition and the Meaningful Day concept are all about.
