State Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Plan

The Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Plan describes New Mexico’s systematic organization used to request, receive, store, distribute and dispense SNS assets. It sets forth lines of authority, roles and responsibilities, and organizational relationships. It shows how actions will be coordinated among State, local, tribal, and federal governments.

Confidentiality Notice

Due to the critical nature of Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) operations, assuring the confidentiality of specific operational details is vital to the safety of responders, assets and the people of New Mexico. All operational details in annexes have been marked For Official Use Only (FOUO) and have been omitted from this Plan. Locations of the Receiving, Staging, and Storing (RSS) warehouse are confidential and Point of Dispensing (POD) locations will be kept confidential until the time they are needed. During an emergency, the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) will conduct massive public information campaigns to guide the public to appropriate dispensing sites. To protect their privacy and safety, partner and volunteer names and contact information are kept as a separate attachment. Operational details, such as how and when Stockpile assets will be transported, are maintained at the State Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM).
